As a great recent piece in The Atlantic lays out, Thanksgiving has always been political, going back to Abraham Lincoln’s establishment of the federal holiday amidst the Civil War.
For this year’s occasion we rounded up a dozen of our favorite Thanksgiving, meal, and food related stories to share today (including a couple that you should probably save until all the dishes have been cleared).
